House, MD, i only just found over the weekend, has three things going for it that i noticed right off the bat: the obvious interesting, not unsympathetic antihero protagonist; an opening theme by Massive Attack (an edited version of 'Teardrop'); and a hands-on executive producer who directed the pilot (and at least one more ep, episode 3 called 'Occam's Razor'). what's so great about that last bit? well, it happens to be pretty darn awesome, imho, that producer being Bryan Singer.

tonight, in case anyone's at all interested (and you should be), it's The Golem (1920), directed by Carl Boese & Paul Wegener, with music by Drip at the 3rd German Silent Film Fest.
you can catch it at Greenbelt Cinema 1 at 8:00pm. ticks are only P50.

House is cool. Don't tell me you just discovered this now? ;-)
Seriously, it didn't help though that I had the show soundtrack playing in my head when I was laid up in the hospital.
well, i only veg out in front of the tube during the weekends, and only when i stay over at my folks' place... and then it's just Jon Stewart, Leno and Conan, SNL, Banzai and Mythbusters and, on occassion, the [original] fab five for me, that is, if i can catch them.
also, i must confess, i caught the tail end of season 1 of America's Next Top Model. they're all so artificial, i can't help but be entertained.
Kahlen's hot, though.
uh i don't know how to say this nicely, but let me try: you, sir, are a snob. do yourself a favor and watch tagalog tv. like loads of it.
'eat bulaga' is good for you, damnit.
paul: har. no thank you. though i do enjoy the occassional Bulagaan every now and then, i am a burgois pig (whatever that means) and i piddle upon your idea of 'television programming.' so there.
Well, you can always go for Distraction. Now that's laugh a minute and beats Banzai by a definite mile. ;-)
And the ANTM showing on ETC was season 1? With Naima? Yeah, those girls were really cute.
yup, that's the one i caught. i also caught Beauty and the Geek a week ago. funny stuff.
but seriously. no tagalog tv for you? you're wasting your life!
evidently i'm just bitter because we don't have ETC, and i very rarely catch the nice shows on jack. there's just way to much overwrought wrestling to sit through before the nice shows come on. and so i switch channels--then i forget to switch back to jack.
well, there was Bubble Gang and the essential Darna when i used to have TV access during the week...
